Gsxr: compact engineers - reduce size and weight

With the adoption of direct-action vallie gear, Suzuki moto joined the technological mainstream in the early 1990s.
Before then, the cam lobes had acted on either forked or single rockers whose free ends pressed on thellalve stems.
This Gsxr's new system, a version of which is still in use today, lets the cam lobes actuate the buckets or followers directly.
Underneath each lobe, between the bucket and the valve stem, is a small steel adjusting shim.
This change permitted a higher red line andinqeased the valve-adjustment intervals.
